Two months in 100 words or less.

Its been a long time since posting, so i have a lot of catching up to do.

I nearly got fired from my job, but after shaping up big time, ended up with a full-time position and a raise. We're still understaffed but thats not so important now seeing that rush is over and inventory is almost here.

I bought a new Naruto fighting game for my gamecube, and have been playing that and smash brothers allmost nonstop at the Nexus, along with way too much DDR. Speaking of the Nexus, they've got forums up now, which i though was pretty cool. I've actually started playing Halo 2 again, mostly because I want to play in the '06 season of MLG tournaments. Mike on the other hand, has all but quit (finally). On the downside he really messed up his knee playing basketball the other day so that sucks.

I found several new bands recently thanks to Dale; I really like all of the stuff that he gives me but some of these are repalcing my previous favorites. My favorites out the current batch are: The Arctic Monkeys, The Subways, Starsailor, Clearlake, and Modeselektor. These really came in handy (along with my new 60 gig iPod) on the car ride to Merit Island to see my family for Thanksgiving.

On the topic of my new iPod, the thing is the best use of $400 ever. The video is amazingly clear, and the huge hard drive allows me to keep a shitload of anime on it. I've got another 20 gigs to spare after putting all of my current anime and my music on it. I've been watching a couple of new shows lately, and catching up on some of my old favorites. I picked up Escaflone finally, and am almost finished watching it now. I also got the second season of Bleach, and it actually translated rather well from the manga to the show. Blood+ is a show that I've looked forward to for a while, and so far it hasn't let me down. Gun X Sword is an interesting show with a very "Trigun" feel to it, and I am enjoying seeing it unfold.

Ok, so i guess I lied about the whole "100 words or less" thing. Oh well.

Now That's Messed Up.

Doctors working in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans killed critically ill patients rather than leaving them to die in agony as they evacuated hospitals.
Wow. That says a lot about the state of things down in New Orleans. Read the whole article here.

Stay in School Kids.

No, really. Stay in school.

Why, you ask? Well mainly because working full time sucks. I ended up taking the semester off so i can gather some cash to hopefully move out. Well, the moving hasn't really happened yet, though instead i'm getting a new car; its almost an even trade....almost.

Work has really been a bitch lately, seeing as we're underhanded in the middle of rush. Mrs. Cohen left my old hs, and i dropped by to say good bye to her last friday. Mike has become a zombie because of fucking halo, and i've pretty much given up playing. His sister is pissed at me for getting him hoocked on that shit, but how was i supposed to know he's an obsessive whore? Gayle is in the marching band at UF, and Ryan is doing the whole work/pbcc thing as i should have don this semester.

I've been listening to a really wide range of shit lately, everything from Imogen Heap to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! I was given another 4 albums from my friend Dale at work today, they included: Leaves, Paddingtons, The Rakes, and Be Your Own Pet (i really like this one).

Time to go back to my warehouse wasteland.

Stupid Germs

I'm sick.

On the bright side, I still have to go to work. I'm "grounded" apparently, though i don't know what that means.

The tournament was pushed back to July so another week of practice. The Nexus is my second home now.

Bittersweet Symphony

I got my car fixed today, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I asked my friend Dave to help me out with the repairs, so replacing the alternator only costed me around $200 instead of the $350+ that a mechanic would have charged me for labor.

The downside to this is that now my mom is back on the "I'm throwing you out in a week" phase, so I'm having to do even more crap around the house in order to stay there. I should be looking for a place to live, but I really don't have the kind of cash to get a place right now.

The halo tournament is two days away now, so most of my free time is being spent practicing for it. I'll still have enough time on Thursday to swing by school to say hi to all of my friends in summer school.
